Diagnostic Map Terms

What you are buying

Over two weeks from our kickoff call, we write down everything in your business that depends on one person: the decisions only they make, the things only they know, and the work that stops when they stop. Each item is costed on your own numbers. The map ends with one recommendation, which is the heaviest piece that is safe to hand over first.

You receive the written map and a session where we walk you through it.

The map does not include building or implementing anything. After the walkthrough you get one round of corrections to anything we got wrong.

Price

The map costs $999 including GST, paid before kickoff. If you go ahead with the recommended build within 60 days of receiving the map, the full amount comes off the build price. The credit applies only to that build and cannot be exchanged for cash.

You are under no obligation to go further. A build is a separate agreement with its own terms.

What we need from you

The map is built from conversations and from material that already exists, so nobody has to stop working. We ask for:

• a 60-minute kickoff call
• two or three 45-minute conversations with the people who work around you
• a session at the end where we walk you through the map
• a look at anything already written down about how the work gets done

Share only what you are comfortable sharing, and tell us if something is off limits. You confirm that you are entitled to share the information you give us, including information about your staff and customers, and that your people know our conversations with them are recorded.

The two weeks start at kickoff. If the conversations can't be booked inside that window, the delivery date moves by the same amount.

If we can't reach you for 30 days, we deliver the map from what we have and the work is complete.

What is yours and what is ours

The map is yours once it is paid for, whether or not you go further with us. Everything you tell us and every document you share stays yours.

The method we use to produce the map stays ours, including our frameworks and templates. We reuse that method with other clients. We never reuse your information or anything specific to your business.

You can use the map freely inside your business and share it with your own advisers. Our frameworks and templates are not to be passed on or resold.

Confidentiality and recordings

We keep what we learn about your business confidential and use it only to produce your map. That continues after the work ends. The exceptions are information that is already public and disclosure the law requires.

In the same way, you keep confidential anything we share about how we work that is not public.

We record and transcribe our conversations so the map is accurate and nobody has to repeat themselves. Everyone on a call is told it is being recorded. You can ask us not to record, or to delete a recording, at any time.

We use third-party software, including AI tools, to transcribe and analyse this material.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

What the map is and is not

The map is our professional view, built from what you and your team tell us and show us. Its costings are estimates based on your numbers, so they are only as accurate as those numbers. It is not legal, financial or tax advice, and what you do with it is your decision.

The map may conclude that you don't need us. If it does, it will say so.

Changing your mind

Cancel before the kickoff call and we refund the $999 in full. Once kickoff has happened the fee is not refundable, and you keep everything we have produced to that point. If we can't deliver the map, we refund you in full.

If something goes wrong

We do the work with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where that law lets us limit our liability for a failure in the service, it is limited to doing the work again or paying the cost of having it done again. Otherwise our total liability for the map is limited to the amount you paid for it, and neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss.

If we disagree about anything, we talk it through in good faith first. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
